OzFeathers’ flag banner designers may not always agree with their choices, but we LOVE all the benefits of bright colours when it comes to BEING SEEN.

BLANK LINE

The Institute’s official choice for COLOUR OF THE YEAR in 2013 is Emerald.  We also like working with this colour, which in flag nylon fabric is known as Irish Green; the colour of shamrocks, lush grass, gemstones and is used in the Irish flag.

Green can energise.  Green can be Heritage too.  It’s sophisticated and radiant.  There’s elegance about green – it isn’t brash or proud, nor is it insipid or shy.

Feather Banners in Green

Not easy being green? - sure it is!

BLANK LINE

BLANK LINE

Strawberries on a black background are lifted with splashes of green foliage.

BLANK LINE

White lettering on green JUMPS out when outlined in black.  Or, simply choose black lettering.

BLANK LINE

The sunlight shining through the flag fabric makes everything glow!

BLANK LINE

DID YOU KNOW? –

Green holds its colour longer than pink and orange.

BLANK LINE

Green doesn’t fade into the background like yellow does.

BLANK LINE

Green’s brightness outlasts that of red.

BLANK LINE

This shade of green gave its name to the Emerald City from the Wizard of Oz, and coincidentally, our name is OzFeathers. (We’re Australian, from the Land of Oz… wink!)

BLANK LINE

Last but not least, our favourite cocktail drink is green – Midori – so it has to be the ideal colour for feather banners in 2013.
