What is the difference between DYED colour and INKED colour on waving flags?

So what’s THE most important advantage of using pre-dyed fabric?

  • Colour vibrancy
  • The “pop!” in sunlight
  • The “wow” as traffic passes by

Dyed colours begin brighter because various optical compounds are added to dyes which enhance the colours BEFORE the fabric is woven.

Why is ink-printed fabric paler?

Printer inks simply can’t match the brightness and richness of colour that DYES have.

Print-inks are applied via heat directly ON to already-woven white fabric. In some cases, the colour only coats one side of the weave. Even when ink is pulled through to the reverse side, the result may be up to 85% efficiency, leaving the back image paler than the front.

Dyed colours are scratch-resistant – they won’t scuff, or bleed if left in the rain.

OzFeathers’ pre-dyed nylon colours guarantee double-sided brilliance.

This translates to 100% colour density on both sides.

All pre-dyed flag nylon fabric features the duPont UV-inhibitor coating, working as a bonus fade-resistor. Dyed colours are test-proven to stay stronger for longer.

If it’s brightness AND long-life you’re seeking, then ALWAYS choose pre-dyed nylon over printed ink. You can even customise your own design in a variety of lustrous shades.

Then, you can relax – you won’t need to replace your advertising again for up to 3 years!
